Meet Us: The Heart Behind Mountain Willow Wellness
If we sat together with a cup of tea, barefoot on the porch, watching the trees move in the wind, I would tell you this.
I am Katie. Mom, daughter, wife, sister, friend, and founder of Mountain Willow Wellness. Beside me in this work is my husband, Nick. He is my ceremonial partner, my grounding force, and the person whose energy meets mine in ways I never expected.
Mountain Willow Wellness grew out of a life that rarely followed the plan in my head but still led me where I needed to go.
Before creating Mountain Willow Wellness, I spent many years in the hospitality industry, learning how deeply it matters to make people feel welcome, held, and seen. Then I moved into real estate. There I learned how to listen beneath words, read a room, stay steady when emotions rise, and guide people through major life transitions with clarity and care. From the outside, it all looked stable. Inside, my body felt exhausted and overextended. A quiet part of me kept asking for something deeper and more honest.
That inner voice grew louder on a trip to the Swiss Alps. The wide stillness of that landscape woke up a part of me I had tucked away. It reminded me who I was before responsibility drowned out my intuition. After that, my choices started to shift. Step by step, I moved back toward energy work, service, and a more aligned path.
Years before my mom passed, I had already started that return. I reactivated my massage license, added body–mind modalities, and began exploring intuitive and mediumship skills that had always lived quietly inside me. My mom’s passing did not start my awakening, yet caring for her in her final years deepened my compassion and my understanding of the human experience. It taught me about grief, surrender, transition, and the quiet beauty of letting someone move into the next chapter of their existence.
My connection with the other side brings me peace in my own grief and helps me support others in theirs. Through massage, energy work, and finding my soul tribe, I slowly found my way back to myself. I noticed where I felt most alive. Sitting with someone. Hands on their body. Listening to what their nervous system wants to say. Watching people arrive tense and guarded, then leave softer and more present. Seeing how the body remembers long after the mind moves on. So I followed that pull. Session by session. Person by person. This work has woven itself into who I am.
And then there is Nick.
He brings balance to everything we do.
Most people feel it right away. He is calm, steady, and easy to be around. He never forces a spiritual vibe. He shows up as himself. Grounded, present, and aware in a way that helps people relax without effort.
His grounded nature formed through a childhood with real challenges and trauma. He has walked through darkness and learned how to navigate it without losing himself. Because of that lived experience, he carries a deep understanding of shadow work — the kind you can’t learn from a book or a training.
Nick brings a clear gift into our sessions. He sits with pain without flinching. He holds space when emotions feel heavy. He helps people feel safe enough to release what they have carried for years.
He does not fear the darker layers of healing. He meets them with presence, compassion, and breath. This ability to hold both light and shadow adds depth to our work. Many people feel it even if they do not have words for it.
In ceremonies and energy journeys, we show up as we are. A married couple who has moved through grief, awakening, challenges, and deep love. Working side by side has shaped the spaces we hold and our marriage itself. The balance we bring to each other is the balance we offer every person who steps into this work. I bring intuitive flow. He brings the anchor. Feminine and masculine in quiet, steady partnership.
The Willow and the Mountain
A willow tree bends and stays intact. It moves with life and adapts to each season. It reflects resilience, intuition, and emotional healing.
A mountain holds its shape. It stands strong and offers a sense of grounding and protection. It reflects stability, wisdom, and the journey inward.
Together, they mirror how we live and work. Soft and strong. Flexible and rooted. Heart-forward and steady. Practical and spiritual at once. This balance sits at the center of Mountain Willow Wellness.
What We Believe
• Everyone deserves a space where armor drops
• Healing doesn’t need to be dramatic—quiet shifts matter
• Your body remembers what your mind forgets
• Nature shows us how to return to ourselves
• Ceremony brings you back to the truth beneath the noise
• You are not broken, even on the days you feel shattered
Who We Support
We sit with people from many walks of life. Those seeking nervous system relief. Those overwhelmed by emotion. Those preparing for plant medicine in appropriate settings and wanting grounded support. Those moving through grief or major transition. Those who feel a nudge inside that something is ready to shift.
The message stays the same.
You are allowed to exhale here. You are welcome exactly as you are. You are free to unravel, release, and rebuild at your own pace.
Mountain Willow Wellness is more than a list of services. It is the space we wished we had during the hardest seasons of our lives. Soft. Grounded. Honest. Built with intention and a lot of heart.
If you feel a nudge while reading this, you are invited to reach out. Ask a question. Book a session. Or simply say hello.
We are here. And we feel grateful you are here too.
With love,
Katie and Nick Mountain Willow Wellness
